After the departure of Rochelle Nason, the League to Save Lake Tahoe as hired Executive Director Darcie Goodman-Collins. It interesting to note the league board hired someone who was almost the exact opposite as Nason. The new director has a science background not a legal background.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Boaters will need to open their wallets a little bit wider before launching at Lake Tahoe this summer. The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency's Governing Board approved fee increases for mandatory aquatic invasive species inspections Wednesday.

Lake Tahoe weather: More dry weather in extended forecast

LAKE TAHOE — Outside of a small chance of snow Sunday night, it appears the Tahoe/Truckee region will remain dry for the near future. According to the National Weather Service in Reno, there is a slight chance of snow showers after 10 p.m. Sunday, with snow levels falling to 5,900 feet.
